The Sport, Recreation and Fitness industry comprises community recreation, fitness, outdoor recreation and sport sectors. These sectors contribute to improving the health of the community, which impacts to the rest of the economy by reducing healthcare costs and enhancing workforce productivity.

These sectors also provide additional income to other industries, as they attract international visitors to sporting events (e.g. Arafura Games) and promote Australia as a travel destination.

The Sport, Fitness and Recreation training package (SIS10) offers qualifications to meet a diverse range of job roles. This training package offers great flexibility and choice for the industry on the selection of qualification units for targeted purpose and employment ready outcomes.
